Dr. Rezai is currently the Director of the Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. He was instrumental in creating the "intensivist driven" ICU, where daily rounds are multidisciplinary, involving residents, students (medical, physician assistant, pharmacy), physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, dieticians, social workers and pharmacists. A monthly ICU QI meeting is conducted evaluating all metrics, stats, infection rates and utilization. He is intimately involved in teaching medical, surgical, neurosurgical, ENT, OB/GYN, and anesthesiology residents as well as nurses and physician assistants.
