Endoscopic Ultrasound Fine Needle Biopsy (EUS-FNB) is often done during EUS procedures of non-pancreatic lesions, where the tip design of a traditional Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) needle is not optimal. Some prospective cohort studies have shown improvement in diagnostic yield with FNB needles on nonpancreatic lesion and gastric subepithelial masses.
